Prof. Ferdinando Auricchio has been elected as the new president of ECCOMAS, the European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences.
Founded in 1993, ECCOMAS is dedicated to the development and applications of computational methods in science and technology, with the aim of promoting the activities of European universities, research institutes and industries, active in the broad field of numerical methods and computer simulation. Among other activities, in odd-numbered years ECCOMAS organizes thematic conferences focused on specific cutting-edge topics in computational science and engineering and in even-numbered years a general conference.
The presidency of Ferdinando Auricchio will start in 2021. Until then, he will hold the position of president-elect in the ECCOMAS Executive Committee
