Our CompMech Group member, Giulia Scalet, is going to give a talk entitled “Recent advances on phenomenological and computational modeling of shape memory alloys” at the IUTAM Symposium on Phase Transformation in Shape Memory Materials: Modeling and Applications, which will take place in Austin, Texas (USA), on April 28th – May 2nd 2019.
The talk aims to present our latest results concerning 3D phenomenological modeling of shape memory alloys, with a special focus on application to fastening, coupling, and actuation systems.
The results come from an open collaboration between the CompMech Group (Dr. Giulia Scalet, Prof. Ferdinando Auricchio), the University of Calabria (Prof. Carmine Maletta), the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)(Dr. Fabrizio Niccoli), and the University of Milan (Prof. Elena Bonetti).
