First Joint GNCSS-SIAM chapters meeting for Young Researchers
Four COMPMECH members participated at the “First Joint GNCSS-SIAM chapters meeting for Young Researchers” in Aula Foscolo from 10th to 11th February 2025 and counted 90 registrants, four keynote speakers, 20 contributed talks, and 20 posters.
On that occasion, Luigi Greco, a COMPMECH member and one of the local organizers of the conference, had a talk entitled “Benefits of high-order phase-field model in fracture mechanics.“

Additionally, Mihaela Chiappetta presented a contribution entitled “An efficient Inverse Design approach combining Bayesian Optimization and Inversion” in the poster session.

This event for young researchers was very inspiring for the young members of our group, allowing them to network and get in touch with topics different from their own.
