Our CompMech Group member, Guillermo Lorenzo, has been recently awarded a Peter O’Donnell Jr. Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Institute of Computational Engineering and Sciences (ICES) at The University of Texas at Austin.
ICES is a world-leading center for research in computational mechanics and applied mathematics. The Peter O’Donnell Jr. Postdoctoral Fellowship program aims at attracting talented young researchers to conduct interdisciplinary research in the areas of computational engineering, scientific and mathematical modeling, computational and applied mathematics, and computational visualization.
Guillermo will be working with Prof. Thomas Yankeelov and Prof. Thomas J. R. Hughes in the development of computational technologies to improve our understanding of cancer growth and predict clinical outcomes, with an especial focus on prostate cancer.
