Optics11 Life Science Nanoindenter – Chiaro
The Chiaro Nanoindenter offers exceptional versatility, enabling detailed in loco mechanical characterization of a wide range of soft materials (modulus << 1 GPa). It is ideally suited for applications spanning from cell biology to materials science and is particularly optimized for the study of living tissues and cells.

With this instrument, fundamental mechanical properties such as the elastic modulus can be accurately determined. Moreover, advanced analyses—including viscoelastic relaxation and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA)—can be performed on soft biological tissues.

Measurements can be conducted under both dry and wet conditions, and interchangeable nanoindenter tips are available to suit specific experimental requirements. Owing to its flexibility, the Chiaro Nanoindenter also supports custom experimental configurations, such as coupling the system with an optical microscope for simultaneous mechanical and visual analysis.
