In a mutual effort between the CompMech group and the Division of Congenital Cardiac Surgery of the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, our abstract entitled “Anomalous Aortic Origin of Coronary Artery Biomechanical Modeling: Toward Clinical Application” has been accepted for a podium presentation at the 99th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery which will take place in Toronto, Canada on May 4-7, 2019. Our colleague Dr. Mauro Lo Rito will be presenting our latest advances in structural simulations for giving insight to this poorly-described disease that often leads to sudden death in young athletes.
